The George Street Diner - Toronto

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

Our first breakfast in Toronto was from a simple diner named The George Street Diner.

The diner was pretty typical in its atmosphere. Cluttered counters, red seats, a bit of a retro vibe. Exactly what you would expect to see at a diner! There was plenty of seating available and it was quiet. We popped in for breakfast and missed their breakfast menu, so we ordered from their brunch menu.

I ordered the Croque Monsieur which felt like a good breakfast dish but also a solid 11am option as it was also lunchy. :) The service was quick. We were in and out in less than an hour.

Before going, when doing my trip research, I saw it said a movie/s was filmed there. I haven't heard of anything filmed there so I didn't recognize it, but it is a tidbit of information that is fun to know!

I give the George Street Diner a 6/10. Wasn't unique enough to go back without trying what else the city has to offer, but it was a nice quick lowkey meal.
