If you're ever in the Detroit area, make sure you visit the Historic farmers Market, Eastern Market. It was first opened in 1841, but it wasn't until 1891 that the market expanded, moved to its present location and was officially named Eastern Market. The market covers 43 acres and is the largest open public market and the second largest open air flower market in the United States.
