Celebrating Medical Heroes!
Updated: Feb 9, 2021
There are some professions which we take for granted - one of those professions is the vast category of our medical workers! 2020 really put health in the forefront of lives in so many ways, a global pandemic is something that we have been so lucky to not have dealt with in our lifetime and I can personally say they it really threw a wrench in all of our plans. Thankfully, most fellow citizens banded together to help these overworked and understaffed professionals. Even something as unexpected as a military flyover in honor of these workers made people feel like we're all in this together.
Yes, these people are just "doing their job", but while this may seem to some like their obligation as they chose this line of work, what they do for people LITERALLY can be life or death. . They very much so deserve the title "hero".
Back in May 2020, I was lucky enough to live down the road from where one of these flyovers was going to happen. Military aircraft training was happening and they scheduled a flight plan in which would fly over local hospitals and senior homes.

Dozens of local citizens gathered in their cars (socially distanced of course!) to take in the sight of the flyover at nearby hospital parking lots and were able to cheer them on. How is that for a bit of brotherhood? Such a simple, yet powerful, moment amidst a pandemic.
What moments of brotherhood during a pandemic have you witnessed?
