About Me!

I made a short Welcome blurb a smidge ago, but I thought I would really get things going with an official ABOUT ME post - I hope this post can really show you who I am and fill you in on why I'm embarking on this adventure. :) My name is Laura and I was born and raised in the city of Detroit, Michigan. Michigan is my happy place and where I have absolutely traveled the most! I'm passionate about the Great Lakes area and there aren't that many places I haven't visited in my great state. I naturally would love to be able to travel a bit more, but I'm confident in my Michigan knowledge. ;)

While I'm borderline obsessed with Michigan, I also love getting my feet wet in traveling in other places as well! I truly love taking trips outside of the state, and often find myself in a rabbit hole of Google Review writing because I LOVE sharing my experiences with people. It might just help out others when planning! I love looking for appropriate photos I snapped, finding the right tags, giving in depth ratings for those who don't know what they're doing - I've been there! My brilliant idea to start this Adventure Awaits blog comes from this.... sharing my love for travel and new things. Full disclosure, while I haven't been a Blogger per se, I have had an online presence for years because I dabble in (OK, I'm obsessed with) a direct sales business and I do own my own handmade gifts business as well. This is totally unrelated, and while I'm open and willing to chat about those passions of mine, they won't be posted about here. :)

Feel free to comment on my reviews, join in on conversations, suggest places for me to visit and trips to plan.I don't get to travel nearly as much as I would like to, but I'm always looking to explore new things and plan new adventures. My home base in DETROIT, MICHIGAN - so props to those who suggest Metro Detroit things to explore and share (I'll naturally pepper those in here and there because this area is my true travel love!)
